🌷Flower Rangoli Designs 🌷

Beautiful Rangoli Design: A Simple Step by Step Pattern

Rangoli is one of those traditional Indian art forms that can make a simple space look bright and welcoming. This rangoli design combines neat geometric patterns with small floral decorations, creating a beautiful balance between simplicity and creativity.

What I like about this design is that it starts with a simple white outline and gradually becomes more colorful. The design can be a great choice for festivals, pooja decorations, or even for adding a traditional touch to the entrance of your home.

Start with the Basic Pattern

The first step is to create the main geometric structure. Small dots are arranged around the center and connected with smooth curved lines. These lines form a symmetrical pattern that gives the rangoli its distinctive shape.

Keeping the design symmetrical makes it look neat, so it helps to work slowly and carefully while drawing the outline.

Add the Floral Details

Once the basic pattern is complete, small flower and leaf shapes can be added around the outer edges. These details make the rangoli look more decorative without making the design too complicated.

The small floral elements also give the geometric pattern a softer and more traditional appearance.

Bring the Design to Life with Colors

After finishing the outline, colors can be added to highlight different parts of the rangoli. In this design, warm shades such as yellow and orange are combined with white floral details and small decorative dots.

You don't have to use the same colors. You can choose your favorite shades depending on the occasion or the overall decoration around the rangoli.

Step 1: Draw the 9×9 Dot Grid

Begin by placing nine dots in each row and column, forming a neat square grid. Make sure the spacing between the dots is equal so the rangoli looks balanced and symmetrical.

Step 2: Create the Central Flower Design

Start from the center and draw curved lines around the middle dots to form petal shapes. These petals should be evenly spaced and smooth, creating a beautiful floral pattern at the center.

Step 3: Extend the Outer Curves

From the central flower, extend larger curved lines outward by connecting nearby dots. These curves form the second layer of the design and give the rangoli a fuller and more decorative look.

Step 4: Draw Leaves Around the Edges

At the outermost dots, draw leaf-shaped patterns using curved lines. These leaves enhance the overall design and add a natural and elegant touch to the rangoli.

Step 5: Add Final Details and Coloring

Complete the design by adding small inner details like dots and lines inside the petals and leaves. You can also use different colors to highlight the flower and leaves, making the rangoli more attractive and vibrant.
